Course Creator & Founder of mkaPEB Mehmet KAPAR

I graduated from Dokuz Eylül University (IZMIR/TURKEY), Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering, in 2001. During my student years, I worked on steel structure projects for four years at Teknom Engineering, one of the few engineering companies in Izmir. Working 16 hours a day between 2002-2004, our first software, ÇelikPro, was launched in May 2005. While making calculations according to Turkish design codes (TS-498, TS 648, TS-500 standards)) in ÇelikPro4, it was able to calculate according to Eurocode-1, Eurocode-2, and Eurocode-3 with ÇelikProEC, which we launched in 2010. In 2014, we changed the name of ÇelikProEC to MkaSteel, aiming to make the software easy to pronounce abroad. In 2016 and 2017, we participated in Euroblech in Germany and Big5 in UAE Dubai. The drawing quality of the software in Germany and the absence of American regulations in Dubai were seen as our shortcomings. Between 2017-2020, steel structures and earthquake regulations were changed in Turkey. While developing the software for Turkey, we also completed the original US standards (AISC-360-10/16, ASCE-07-16, AISC-341-16). During this period, our CAD infrastructure, which will create the steel structure model in 3D, and modules that obtain 2D technical drawings from the 3D model have also been developed. This world-class technology is currently available in the market as MkaPEB.
